The Switzerland County School Corporation oversees the primary and secondary educational system including two award-winning schools:
- Jefferson-Craig Elementary School (812-427-2170), has a 2005-6 enrollment of 267 and is a 2003-4 Four Star School and 2004 Blue Ribbon Winner
- Switzerland County Elementary School in East Enterprise (812-534-3128), has a 2005-6 enrollment of 443, and is a 2003-4 Four Star School and 2005 Blue Ribbon Winner
- Switzerland County Middle School (812-427-3809), has a 2005-6 student enrollment of 388
- Switzerland County High School (812-427-2626), has a 2005-6 student enrollment of 486
The Blue Ribbon, No Child Left Behind award honors schools that are either academically superior in their states or that demonstrate dramatic gains in student achievement.
